Steamroller Blues” is a blues parody written by James Taylor, that appeared on his 1970 album Sweet baby James. It was intended to “mock” the inauthentic blues bands of the day.

Once again Mark Devlin Visual Design teamed up with veteran producer Marcia Kapustin from Kosher Pixels. Added to the team was student videographer, Anothony “AJ” Giambrone. Anthony was tasked with the assignment to find every word of the song on actual signage somewhere on the streets of New York City. After several long days of searching, video of every word was achieved.

Mark Devlin added a variety of b-roll shots of New York City life to bring new life to the old signage. The results below.

Enjoy!
